I've been playing and coaching professionally for over thirty years now, having been introduced to the game when I was aged thirteen and then turning professional at the sport when I was aged seventeen.
After qualifying as a full member of the Professional Golfers' Association, thereafter, I played on the LET (Ladies European Tour) for over a decade.
Another decade (plus!) has since passed, and I'm proud to proclaim that, at the time of writing this, I'm now in the top one per cent of approximately 7,000 PGA Members across the globe who has been accorded the status of Advanced Fellow of the Professional Golfers’ Association (meaning, approximately only seventy of us are PGA Advanced Fellow Professionals), and I've also been accredited as a UK Top 50 Golf Coach as well.
In addition, I'm proud to proclaim too that I'm a Best Sellers in Golf Books author, with my book '50 Simple Tips for Simply Better Golf' reaching #1 on Amazon's Hot New Releases too!
Colmworth Golf Club is situated in North Bedfordshire, but is also very close to the borders of both Northamptonshire and Cambridgeshire, and is only minutes away from the roads network of the A1, M1, A14 and the A6.
As someone who has suffered on and off with a 'bad back', Lake View Osteopathy Clinic has been my 'crutch' over recent years, as one of their specialist areas is golfing injuries, so I can fully recommend their services!
If you'd like to enjoy the all round health and social benefits that golf has to offer, make highly effective use of your leisure and recreational time, and have a great sense of achievement and huge fulfillment in your life, please..
Golf is better than a fast and furious gym session!
Golf combines all the known weight-loss benefits of walking, combined with the toning and muscle strengthening benefits of swinging your golf clubs and carrying/pulling your golf bag/golf trolley.
If you have recently moved into the area, then golf is a great way to meet new people, as a host of rewarding new friendships awaits you - friendships that are likely to flourish - thanks to the warm atmosphere of the game itself and the ready-made social life at the clubhouse afterwards.
Golf ticks all the right boxes when it comes to optimal well-being, as it offers some important feel-good factors, such as an active social life and regular physical activity of the best kind – ‘green exercise’ outside in nature.
Golf’s powerful combination of stress-busting exercise, fresh air and camaraderie can help promote long term heart health - it can reduce blood pressure and raised cholesterol, and cut your risk of stroke and diabetes, especially if combined with a healthy diet and lifestyle.
Golf’s unique combination of outdoor exercise and social interaction can help you live a longer, healthier life - indeed, a recent study has reported that playing golf can actually increase your life expectancy by up to as many as five years - with regular walking, such as the four hours it typically takes to play 18 holes of golf, the game can help ward off dementia too.
Golf gives you a precious space of your own that can help you recharge your batteries and alleviate stress, and with golf's unique combination of fresh air, exercise and socialising, it means that playing the game of golf can help calm your worries, keep you healthy and give you a better perspective too.
Learning something new and progressing with the sport will provide you with a great sense of achievement as well.
Golf helps develop lifelong skills beyond simply hitting a ball into the hole.
These include working with and respecting others, leadership, listening and commitment - and in addition, learning something new is great for keeping your brain healthy and your well-being on track.
If you, like far too many others, are spending over 6 hours a day sitting at your desk, then this will be having a very detrimental effect on your health.
It's time to take action..
Previously a successful tournament player on the Ladies European Tour, I now focus on my passion for delivering first class golf lessons and golf coaching sessions.
I'm skilled in all aspects of golf and have vast experience in nurturing all abilities, from golf lessons for beginners through to teaching established golfers.
Indeed, my coaching expertise is both renowned and highly respected regionally and beyond, and I'm proud to proclaim that I'm, in fact, in the top one per cent of PGA Members who has been accorded the status of Advanced Fellow of the Professional Golfers’ Association, and I've also been accredited as a UK Top 50 Golf Coach too - so you're in extremely good, incredibly safe and highly competent hands!
I strongly believe that everyone has an aptitude for golf, and so, I'm eager to introduce this wonderful sport to all, as I love having the opportunity to nurture talent, improve ability and generally increase people's overall enjoyment of the game.
My coaching methodology is to simplify fundamentals of the golf swing and to focus on specific areas of the game to enhance pupils and a players' capabilities.
Golfers require consistency and this is greatly accomplished by my simplifying parts of the game that I regard as having become "unnecessarily complicated".
I also believe strongly in the significance of a solid short-game and focus on this aspect with my players and pupils.
To offer the best golf lessons, golf instruction and golf coaching experience possible, by accomplishing speedy and continuing results for all pupils and players, assured through quality, established and easy to understand methods.
I can wholeheartedly say that I truly love my 'job', from teaching golf for beginners to coaching established golfers, I just enjoy every minute of my chosen vocation.
Whether it's teaching adults or juniors, individuals or groups, I just love nurturing talent and simply assisting people with their golf games.
I also love and much prefer to deliver my golf coaching lessons out on the actual golf course, as the best way to simply get better at golf is to learn by and through playing the actual sport.
The added bonus is that Colmworth Golf Club (CGC) is not only arguably one of the friendliest and most relaxed golf courses that I've ever had the privilege of coaching at, but CGC is also situated in beautiful North Bedfordshire, and is located close too to the borders of both Northamptonshire ('The Rose of the Shires') and Cambridgeshire (most famous, of course, for the historical and stunning university city of Cambridge).
